LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The City of East Lansing has issued a traffic alert for drivers and residents for the demolition of the former Student Bookstore building at 401 E. Grand River Ave.
City officials say tractor-trailers and other large equipment will cause loud noises.
According to city officials, crews will replace the former Student Bookstore with The Howard, a 12-story mixed-use apartment building. The new space will house 748 people.
The demolition started at 7 a.m., and one westbound lane on Grand River Ave. will be shut down so crews can work safely on the project…
