Initial work for a project to widen the lanes of Interstate 85 in Montgomery from two lanes to three will begin on Sept. 20.
An announcement from the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) stated that the widening will take place from the end of the existing three-lane section at Taylor Road to Jenkins Creek.
