LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — The Lafayette Police Department has released the results of its enhanced enforcement operations in Downtown Lafayette on Sept. 11 and 12.
LPD said arrests during the two-night initiative included:
- 16 open glass container violations, seven involving individuals under 21
- 10 arrests for urinating in public
- 3 underage alcohol violations
- 36 parking citations
- 10 traffic citations
- 1 OWI arrest
- 2 firearm-related arrests, including one involving a controlled dangerous substance
- 1 arrest involving battery and battery on a police officer
- Additional arrests/citations for resisting an officer and possession of marijuana
