Hands-on boucherie, passed-down traditions and more expected at Creole Culture Day in Grand Coteau

The fifth annual Creole Culture Day will take place Oct. 3 at Town Hall Park in Grand Coteau.

For Milton Arceneaux, the founder of Louisiana Creole Culture, which organized the event, said while a hands-on boucherie is one of the main attractions, the cooking is only one part of what visitors will experience.

“Creole culture is a verb,” Arceneaux said. “At the core of it, it’s family and camaraderie, but everything else is like a tentacle.”…
