LIVE: Tornado Watch in effect until midnight for the Omaha Metro

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Nearly 6,000 customers were without power in the aftermath of the storms that rolled through the Omaha metro on Monday evening.

At 8 p.m., OPPD was reporting 4,153 customers without power; and MidAmerican Energy was reporting 1,777 outages in Council Bluffs. By about 8:40 p.m., those were down to 3,353 for OPPD customers in the Omaha metro and 790 MidAmerican customers in Council Bluffs.

Some minor flooding was also reported along Saddle Creek around 8 p.m. as well…
