OZARK, Mo. — As of Friday, Sept. 11, diesel prices in the U.S. broke $6 per gallon — the highest they’ve been in U.S. history.
The national average rose to $6.05 Friday. Today, Missouri’s average diesel price sits right below that $6 record high at $5.91. According to AAA, that’s the highest recorded average price in the state’s history.
