WELD COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) – A 37-year-old Fort Collins woman was killed and a 43-year-old Nunn woman was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle head-on crash on Weld County Road 100, east of Wellington.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 12:29 p.m. when an eastbound Subaru Outback driven by the Fort Collins woman crossed into the westbound lane and struck an oncoming Jeep Wrangler.
After the initial impact, the Subaru rotated and slid partially off the south side of the road, coming to a stop facing southwest before catching fire. The Jeep went off the north side of the road, rolled half a turn, struck a fence and came to rest on its roof facing north…
