Spokane Browne Street lane cuts start Sept. 14 for greenway work

SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane announced construction started this week on the Pacific Avenue Greenway, with Browne Street lane reductions in downtown beginning the night of Sept. 14.

The city said the project will build an east-west bike route from Howard Street to Sherman Street. It said the work is meant to improve person safety and connect downtown Spokane to the University District.
