State Rep. Sharon Ray, R-Wadsworth, announced Monday that she is resigning as the state representative for House District 66, after being appointed to be Medina County recorder.
Ray served nearly three terms in the Ohio House and was the first woman to hold the seat in her district. In addition to serving as chairwoman of the House General Government Committee, Ray was a member of the House Finance, Energy, and Children and Human Services committees.
“Sharon (Ray) has served her district and the State of Ohio with dedication and integrity,” Speaker of the House Matt Huffman said. “I am grateful for her service in the House and the excellent work she has done as chair of the General Government Committee. I congratulate her on this new position.”…
