Arts in the Heart of Augusta will take place at the Augusta Exchange Club Fairgrounds September 18-20. Roadwork has forced the change. The Greater Augusta Arts Council partnered with Pedal Pub Augusta and Augusta Public Transit to get people from downtown to the fairgrounds.
“We knew moving the festival meant we couldn’t simply give people a new address and expect them to figure out the rest,” said Denise Tucker, executive director of the Greater Augusta Arts Council, per WRDW. “Access has been part of our planning from the beginning.”
Organizers want attendees to make downtown a piece of their weekend plans. Pedal Pub Augusta will run routes on Saturday and Sunday from several downtown pickup spots, including the Cotton Exchange lot, Pedal Pub at 710 Broad St., and the Affordable Dentures lot on Greene Street…
