South Euclid City Council to consider rezoning former Notre Dame College property for mixed-use

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — While Akron Children’s Hospital has not yet made known its specific plans for the Notre Dame College campus it recently purchased, activity pertaining to the property is taking place.

On Monday (Sept. 14), City Council referred to the city’s Planning Commission legislation that would rezone the property from its current “one-family district” zoning, to mixed-use zoning.

Akron Children’s Hospital (ACH) representatives appeared at and spoke at council’s meeting July 13. At that meeting, they said that plans for the 48-acre property at 1857 S. Green Road were still being prepared…
