Welcomed changes to the humidity

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — The cold front is moving a little slower than expected, but there are already noticeable changes compared to where we started on Monday. As you step outside this morning, you’ll feel a steady breeze, with winds between 10 and 15 mph and occasional gusts over 20 mph. That breeze is already helping conditions feel a bit cooler.

Dewpoints are running 2 to 3 degrees lower than they were yesterday. While they remain fairly high for now, conditions will continue to improve throughout the day as drier air steadily filters in. By this time tomorrow, dewpoints will fall into the upper 50s and lower 60s as northern high pressure controls.

We’ll stay dry today with plenty of sunshine, making for an extremely comfortable day overall. High temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. For reference, North Myrtle Beach set a new record high of 94 degrees Monday, while Florence tied its record high of 96 degrees. This afternoon, temperatures will top out between 84 and 88 degrees…
