Some shopping lists are better left unwritten, especially when nearly 100 vintage booths are involved. That’s the situation at WaterFire Arts Center October 3 and 4, when Little City Thrifty returns to Providence with two days of vintage clothing, home décor, vinyl, books, jewelry, art, collectibles, ephemera, accessories, and plenty of finds that were probably not on the original plan.
Vendors from Rhode Island and 11 other states will fill the Valley Street space, bringing an eclectic mix of pieces sourced from across the country and beyond. For shoppers, part of the appeal is not knowing exactly what will turn up until they start digging.
Co-founder BJ Mansuetti says that sense of discovery is part of what keeps the market fun. “You’re pretty much guaranteed to have a great time, and probably leave with something you didn’t know you needed.”…
