A Louisiana man was trapped in a storm drain for two days before a passerby reported seeing a flag waving through the grate, leading to his rescue.
The Lafayette Fire Department said crews responded to the 100 block of West Pont Des Mouton Road on Sept. 8 after a 911 caller reported seeing a flag being waved out of a storm drain.
Firefighters removed the drain cover and found a man inside. Photos shared by the fire department show they lowered a ladder into the storm drain, and the trapped man was able to climb out on his own.
The man told firefighters he had been trapped inside the storm drain for two days. No other details about his condition or the circumstances of the entrapment were released…
