RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -The Asian Autumn Festival returns to Reno this weekend. The Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) is hosting the annual event that celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is rooted in themes of gratitude, family, community and the celebration of the harvest.
Last year, more than 10,000 people took part in the event in Reno that features cultural performances, traditional music and dance, food and fun activities for kids. This year’s event will have much of the same– with more than 20 local food businesses on site. Suwasdee Thai is just one of them. The restaurant has been open in Sparks at Pyramid and McCarran for nearly 15 years. The family-owned business is excited to showcase its dishes, including many items that are regularly on the menu.
“These are all authentic Thai food,” says Chanikan Buntha of Suwasdee Thai. “We will be making them fresh on site.”…
