COLONIE — A town contract for removing leaves and brush has come under scrutiny after the cost of the service climbed to nearly $1 million annually over the last three years.
The Colonie Town Board is expected to vote on a renewed contract with Twin Bridges for leaf and brush cleanup for next year, Supervisor Peter Crummey said. The vote had been scheduled for last Thursday alongside several other contract renewals but was removed from the agenda because of an issue involving a different vendor, he said. It is not clear when the board will vote on the renewed contract.
