Board member accused of wrongdoing requests hearing on charges
CHARLESTON — County School Board member Darlene Dunmeyer-Roberson has notified Gov. Henry McMaster she intends to exercise her right to be heard on three charges brought forth by an inspector general investigation accusing her of wrongdoing and malfeasance, a spokesperson at the governor’s office confirmed.
In a Sept. 9 letter obtained by The Post and Courier through the governor’s office, state Reps. Kambrell Garvin and Todd Rutheford, who will represent Roberson, requested for her to be heard on the allegations brought against her. Those include disclosure of executive session material, unauthorized disclosure of confidential information and conflict of interest.
A hearing will be held by Sept. 28 in which Roberson may present oral arguments and respond to questions from a three-member hearing panel. The time and location have not been determined…
