The Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) reiterated on their Facebook page that electric bikes and electric scooters are not permitted on the EMTA bike racks nor on board.
The batteries often found within e-bikes and scooters that can become a fire hazard. They also reminded riders that any personal belongings must be removed from any standard bikes before being placed on the rack.
