Dr. Inez Turner has shifted into a full-time senior woman administrator position at Fayetteville State University. She stepped down from coaching. According to Fayetteville State, the 1996 Jamaican Olympian accumulated 28 CIAA championships and 28 Coach of the Year honors since 2017.
Turner guided the Broncos’ cross country and track and field squads to conference titles across all seasons. Her teams captured seven women’s cross country championships. Six straight CIAA women’s indoor track and field championships followed, plus multiple women’s outdoor track and field crowns.
“Dr. Turner has spent her career building championship programs and developing young people into successful leaders,” said director of athletics Anthony T. Bennett in a statement shared on Fsubroncos.com. “The same standards of excellence that produced conference championships, Coach of the Year awards, and nationally respected programs will now be available to every team in our department.”…
