SANFORD, Fla. — Seminole County public safety leaders say a statewide property tax amendment on Florida’s November ballot could force major budget cuts, while some residents say local governments should look for savings outside essential services.
County leaders said public school funding would not be affected by Amendment 3. However, they said local governments may have to make cuts to public safety because only certain funds can be used for certain purposes.
