PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Providence Mayor Brett Smiley said he plans to remain focused on leading the city through the final months of his term following his defeat in the Democratic mayoral primary.
Smiley joined NBC 10’s Dan Jaehnig for “Connect to Providence” days after state Rep. David Morales defeated him in an upset victory. Morales received about 57% of the vote, according to unofficial results.
Smiley said. “There’s still plenty of things on the to-do list for the next three and a half months, and my team and I are staying focused on putting a few more points up on the board before we leave.”…
