PULLMAN, WA – Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is expanding its manufacturing operations in Idaho with the purchase of a facility in Nampa.
The Pullman-based company announced Tuesday it will invest more than $150 million in the 103,000-square-foot facility and equipment. SEL says the expansion will increase manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand for products used to protect, monitor and control critical infrastructure.
The new facility in Southern Idaho is expected to begin operations in 2027 and initially create approximately 250 manufacturing jobs. SEL says starting wages will be $26 per hour, with shift differentials of up to $10 per hour…
