PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Eugene police arrested a man they accuse of slashing another person with a knife on Sunday, officials said.
Officers responded to a reported dispute near 1100 East 37th Avenue on Sunday just before 9 p.m. A caller told police he had been assaulted, mentioning a knife, officials said.Upon arrival, officers approached 24-year-old Jay’Nell Dmarke Smith and one other man on the sidewalk.
Officers say Smith told them he wanted the other man to leave his residence.
