Erie City Council is set to have their first reading of an ordinance that would shift $4 million toward cleaning up from the disastrous storms that rolled in at the beginning of the month.
According to city council’s agenda, council has two ordinances that would transfer $1 million and $3 million from the Unappropriated Fund as part of the two ordinances.

Each ordinance would combine to transfer $4 million to Emergency Management Services, with the $1 million transfer being sent to the refuse fund and the $3 million being moved to the general fund to cover unexpected expenses from the severe weather on September 2.
