Teen sentenced to 30 years for fatal Westside High area shooting

A Jacksonville teen was sentenced to 30 years in state prison this week after pleading guilty to second-degree murder and armed robbery in connection with a fatal shooting near Westside High School last year.

Alex Reddice pleaded guilty to both charges July 28 during a pretrial hearing, reversing his initial not-guilty plea entered after his February 2025 arrest.
