Tennessee announced Wednesday the entertainment district being built next to Neyland Stadium will be named 865 Neyland.
865 Neyland meshes the Knoxville area code as well as the first name of the famed stadium into the name and brand identity of the entertainment district. It also will serve as the address of development.
“The launch of the 865 Neyland brand reflects the momentum behind one of the most ambitious mixed-use developments in college athletics,” said Taylor Gray, principal of RVX Ventures, in a release. “From the beginning, our goal has been to create a destination that authentically captures the culture, passion and energy surrounding Tennessee athletics while delivering an experience that serves the Knoxville community every day of the year.”…
