Attorney General Russell Coleman announced the recipients of the 2026 Outstanding County Attorney and Outstanding Commonwealth’s Attorney awards at the Kentucky Prosecutors Conference last month in Lexington, with Alan George being one of the recipients.
George was the Assistant Attorney General from 1980-1981, Assistant Woodford County Attorney from 1981-1993, and then Woodford County Attorney from 1994 to present day. These years of service amount to overall 46 total in the state’s prosecutorial system, and 45 of those were spent in only one place.
