Storm chances climb for the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches as breezy pattern takes hold

West Palm Beach, Fla. (WPEC) — A more unsettled weather pattern is setting up across the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches for the middle and latter part of the week, bringing elevated chances for showers and thunderstorms, breezy northeast winds and a growing risk of rougher conditions at the beaches.

An upper-level low approaching Florida from the western Atlantic is the feature behind the change.

In simple terms, it will add energy higher in the atmosphere while pulling in deep tropical moisture at lower levels.

That combination should make it easier for showers and storms to develop—not just during the typical afternoon window, but at times earlier or later in the day as well…
