AUSTIN (KXAN) — Preparations for the 2026 Austin City Limits Music Festival are set to bring weeks of parking restrictions, road closures and traffic delays around Zilker Park as crews begin moving equipment into the festival grounds.
According to the City of Austin’s Austin City Limits Mobility Guide, the festival load-in period will begin in mid-September and continue through Oct. 18, affecting several parking areas and roadways near the popular park.
The first parking closure is scheduled for the Stratford Lot, which closed Sept. 14 and will remain unavailable through Oct. 18. Additional parking areas will close later in the month, including Pecan Grove and the Polo Picnic Lot beginning Sept. 18. The Rock Garden Lot will close Sept. 23, while the Disc Golf Lot, Moonlight Tower Lot and Playscape Lot are scheduled to close Sept. 28.
