BATON ROUGE – Amazon’s drone delivery service has been operating in Baton Rouge for two months, and residents in some neighborhoods are raising concerns about noise and safety.
The service has federal approval to launch as many as 1,000 flights a day. Residents living near Amazon’s Cortana Place Fulfillment Center said they see dozens of drones flying above their homes every day. Some describe the sound as a buzz or a vacuum noise.
