Alright, so I know we just got into the month of September but when it comes to celebrating Oktoberfest, it’s never too early to start the celebration and Fort Bliss is helping locals get ready to raise a stein and celebrate German culture as Oktoberfest returns to Fort Bliss’ Biggs Park September 18-20.
Oktoberfest is a traditional German celebration known for its lively atmosphere, music, dancing, food and, of course, German beer.
The festival originated in Munich in 1810 as a celebration for the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. Today, Oktoberfest celebrations take place around the world, bringing communities together to enjoy German traditions, entertainment and plenty of festive fun.
Oktoberfest Returns to Biggs Park at Fort Bliss
The fall celebration kicks off Friday, September 18, and continues Saturday, September 19, from 6 p.m. to midnight. The event is open to the public and admission is free. Guests must be 18 or older to attend Friday and Saturday, while those must be 21 or older to enjoy the German beer.
