Nonprofit works to raise $60,000 for safe overnight parking program

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Finding a safe place to park and sleep overnight is a nightly struggle for dozens of people living in their cars in Green Bay.

For the past few years, one local nonprofit has been working to close that gap. The organization is working to raise $60,000 by the end of the month.

How the program works

Between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., a lot becomes a safe haven for people living in their vehicles, providing restroom access, Wi-Fi and staff support.
