MAYFLOWER, Ark. – Mayflower couple 42-year-old Kathy Hudson and 50-year-old Sam Hudson were arrested on September 11th, and are each facing 11 felony counts of aggravated cruelty to a dog, horse, or cat, after the Mayflower Police Department searched a home the Hudsons were staying in and discovered 11 dogs struggling to survive.
In July, the homeowner and complainant called the Mayflower Police Department alleging animal cruelty at a home on North Main Street. According to the affidavit on the arrest warrant, the detective entered the home and discovered 11 dogs locked in kennels or separate rooms in the home with little access to food or water.

The detective noted in their report that all of the dogs were “extremely skinny” and “covered in sores”, with one of the dogs suffering from a major injury.
