St. Paul man faces 3 felonies in Eden Prairie garage burglary

A St. Paul man faces three felony charges after prosecutors allege he entered a secured Eden Prairie apartment garage without permission and stole a bicycle before police found him nearby with the bike.

Noor Mohamud Ahmed, 33, is charged in Hennepin County District Court with first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary of a dwelling and possession of burglary or theft tools. The charges stem from a Sept. 8 incident at Martin Blu Apartments, 14301 Martin Drive.

The first-degree burglary charge was added in an amended complaint filed Sept. 15. Prosecutors allege Ahmed possessed an article while inside the building that was used or fashioned in a way that would lead the victim to reasonably believe it was a dangerous weapon.
