Owners Aaron Lawrie and his partners celebrated the opening alongside elected officials, business leaders, and community supporters. The Albany location marks the group’s seventh Playa Bowls franchise and continues their expansion of the fast-growing brand throughout the Northeast.
During the celebration, Lawrie shared that the team was drawn to Playa Bowls because of its focus on fresh food, positive guest experiences, and opportunities to help employees develop valuable skills and leadership experience. Beyond serving nutritious menu items, the owners hope to create a welcoming space where guests can gather with friends and family while enjoying a taste of the tropics year-round.
Guests learned more about the company’s commitment to healthy dining, community engagement, and workforce development, while also taking in the vibrant atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the Playa Bowls brand. Assemblywoman Gabriella Romero offered congratulations, noting she had already become a frequent customer since the business opened.
