CLIFTON PARK — The alleged burglar who smashed the front window of Dolce & Biscotti Fine Italian Bakery, took out a cake and cookies and left a cigar has been caught.
Riley T. Sautter-Walker had, in fact, already been in custody around the time troopers responded the morning of Aug. 27 to the bakery in a shopping plaza off Route 9, according to a news release from State Police Wednesday. The 22-year-old Schenectady man was booked in Saratoga County jail that day on attempted burglary and criminal mischief charges, also out of Clifton Park, jail records show. Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpt. Dan Morley said the charges were filed after he allegedly attempted to break into a Stewart’s Shop on Route 9 around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 and a Dollar Tree on Crossing Boulevard around 12:20 a.m. on Aug. 27.
