Kern County Probation Department arrests Taft man on multiple firearm charges

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Probation Department has conducted a home call that resulted in the arrest of one person for firearm-related violations.

The Kern County Probation Department’s AB 109 Division and the Post Release Community Supervision unit conducted the home call in the 100 block of Shattuck Avenue in Taft on the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 15.

At the residence, officers contacted William Starling who was actively under post-release community supervision, the department said.

The county department said during the search, officers located a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver, a Taurus .40 caliber handgun, various calibers of live ammunition and shotgun shells…
