A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer who was shot in the line of duty last week has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
CMPD is not releasing the officer’s name out of respect for the officer’s privacy.
The officer was injured during an incident that led to the arrest of 24-year-old Dionte McCracking.
