Jacksonville man captured on video selling drugs to undercover officers denies being dealer, points finger at his cousin

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigation into Joe Holmes started in July.

An undercover detective posing as a drug user walked through a chain-link fence and made their way to the back door of a home on 61st Street East.

An unknown man opened the door and the undercover detective asked him for a “ball of ice,” slang for crystal meth, and the man agreed, according to JSO. The detective gave him $40 of JSO-issued money, and the man went inside. Holmes, 37, opened the door shortly after and gave the detective 4 grams of what later tested for meth, JSO said.
