Larry Millete seeks to have sentencing delayed

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A continuance request was filed regarding Larry Millete’s sentencing date, court officials confirmed Wednesday. Larry is facing 25 years to life in prison for the death of his wife, Maya Millete.

A 12-member jury found Larry guilty of first-degree murder of his wife in July. His wife, Maya, had been missing since 2021. Investigators still have not found her body.

Along with the first-degree murder charge, Larry was also facing a separate charge for possession of an unregistered assault weapon. He waived his right to a jury for the gun charge and was scheduled to have a bench trial before Judge Enrique Camarena…
