Jefferson Parish officials on Tuesday wrangled a wild cat native to Sub-Saharan Africa that was being illegally kept at a Marrero home, according to Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services.
The medium-sized serval cat was found in a fenced enclosure in the backyard of a home on Allo Avenue after Jefferson Parish firefighters were called to extinguish a fire at the property, JPAWS said.
