Motorcyclist killed in firefighter memorial ride identified

DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash during a firefighter memorial ride.

On Saturday, September 12, hundreds of motorcyclists participated in an annual memorial ride. The Fire Ride, which starts in Sandy and ends in Ogden, typically has between 300 and 400 participants.

During this year’s ride, there was a chain-reaction crash between US-89 and Gordon Lane, involving three motorcycles. Unfortunately, one motorcyclist was seriously injured and was pronounced dead while enroute to the hospital.
