FARIHOPE, Ala. (WALA) – Community members across Baldwin County are rallying behind a local educator following her diagnosis of a rare and inoperable brain cancer.
Christy Whitney, a fourth-grade teacher at Fairhope Elementary School, began experiencing pain in the back of her head in July. After medical examinations revealed a spot, subsequent testing led to a diagnosis of inoperable brain cancer on Sept. 5.
