Rain and high winds brought down a tree onto a Sunland Park home Wednesday as storms moved through southern Doña Ana County.
Sunland Park Fire Department crews responded to the 100 block of Piñon Drive, where the fallen tree had landed on a residential structure.
Firefighters cut the tree into smaller sections before safely removing it from the home. The department did not report any injuries in its account of the response.
The incident came as the National Weather Service office in Santa Teresa maintained a Flood Watch across much of southwest New Mexico, including Sunland Park, Las Cruces and other communities in Doña Ana County.…
