Train horns blare in St. Louis City for the first time in nearly two decades

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Train horns have started blaring in St. Louis City again for the first time in about 18 years.

For the last nearly two decades the city was designated as a quiet zone by the Federal Railroad Administration because so many residents live near the train tracks.

The quiet zone means trains don’t have to blow their horns, unless there was an issue on the track…
