Police in Arizona have arrested a 35-year-old former Florida resident accused of fatally poisoning her two dogs with antifreeze before abandoning them inside an empty Naples apartment.
Erica Michelle Evans was taken into custody Wednesday by Phoenix police officers on a warrant issued by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. She faces two felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty and is currently awaiting extradition back to Southwest Florida.
The investigation dates back to October 2024, when Collier County deputies were called to an apartment complex at Addison Place, located off Immokalee Road. Neighbors had reported a strong odor coming from the unit, which had sat empty for roughly a month…
