Spokane, Wash. — The fourth annual Boulevard Race in Spokane is set for Sunday at 10 a.m. as thousands signed up to support the fight against cancer and cheer on people in treatment, survivors and families.
The course includes the intersection of MLK Way and Erie Street, a spot many runners know as the scream tunnels. Dozens of school-age children line the walls there and cheer for participants.
More than 4,000 people have already signed up, which organizers said was more than double the turnout from the first year. Registration cost $25 and limited spots remained…
