Rotterdam police: Three drugs found on passenger in U-Haul traffic stop

ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (WNYT) — Rotterdam Police said a traffic stop of an overdue U-Haul led to a felony drug arrest.

According to police, officers on patrol spotted the U-Haul traveling westbound on Curry Road at about 8:22 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16. Police said the van had been reported Sept. 15, after it was not returned by the agreed-upon date.

Police said officers stopped the U-Haul in the parking lot of the Valero gas station at 3060 Broadway. During the investigation, police identified passenger as Matthew C. Bergeron, of Schenectady, and said he had methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine…
