Augusta Transit Workers Secure 3-Year Contract, Avoid Strike, Gain Better Pay, Benefits

Transit workers in Augusta won a three-year contract with MV Transportation on Monday. They dodged a strike that union members had approved back in July.

The agreement brings higher wages to drivers and staff. Starting pay now sits at $20 an hour.
