JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – A New York lender has filed paperwork in Jefferson County to collect on a nearly $400,000 default judgment against Rodney Scott’s BBQ Charleston and several Alabama companies tied to the collapsed Pihakis Restaurant Group.
Itria Ventures, LLC filed a notice Thursday in Jefferson County Circuit Court asking to have a judgment it won in South Carolina recognized in Alabama. The step would let the company go after the defendants’ assets in the state.
Loan dates back to March
The debt goes back to a $350,000 loan Itria issued on March 24 for the Rodney Scott’s BBQ location in Charleston, South Carolina, according to court records. The loan carried a 25.99% annual interest rate.
